From Senegal to Nigeria, Benin, and Togo into the Sahelian region crossing Burkina Faso, stakeholders and farmers of various crops have strongly rejected the use, adoption and consumption of Genetically Modified Foods for various reasons.
Yet, some scientists blame the opposition on a lack of knowledge and hail GMOs as a solution to many threats including Climate change, pollution, drought, increased farm yield and reduced world hunger.
