The Trade Union Congress (TUC) in Nigeria, has threatened to picket at the Lagos State Government House if the Governor fails to comply with a court order to reinstate the State Chairman of the Road Transport Employers Association of Nigeria (RTEAN).
TUC President, Festus Osifo, announced after a closed-door meeting with the Minister of Labour and Employment to discuss among other issues, the planned strike by the unions in response to the Government’s failure to meet up with the demands of the unions.
An umbrella body of informal workers, TUC, and the National Labour Congress are demanding an immediate end to sufferings faced by Nigerians due to the fuel subsidy removal.
