Cote d’Ivoire’s Independent Electoral Commission (CEI) has published the provisional list of candidates ahead of the Senatorial elections on September 16.
253 candidates filed for candidacy, out of which 123 were accepted and six others rejected according to the Commission.
30 of the candidates are women representing 12 percent while men take up 88 percent on the Senatorial elections list.
