Nigeria’s Military Chief, General Christopher Gwabin Musah, has urged fellow Chiefs of Defense Staff within the sub-region to prioritize the safety of Nigerien citizens as they deliberate on operational strategies in anticipation of a potential military intervention in Niger, aimed at restoring democracy.
General Musah also emphasized the crucial values and principles of democracy, urging his fellow military leaders to take every measure to uphold peace and security within the ECOWAS sub-region.
The Chief of Defense Staff of Nigeria spoke during a gathering of military chiefs who have convened in Accra, upon the request of the ECOWAS Commission, to collaboratively prepare for potential military actions against the military junta in Niger.
