In the province of Tuy, in the west of Burkina Faso, the 2023 – 2024 agricultural season is off to a difficult start due to the lack of rain.
While some seedlings have already emerged, others have just been planted, even though it’s now July.
Growers are therefore fearing crop failure, even if the Ministry of Agriculture is reassuring them that they can still catch up.
