Senegalese President Macky Sall will not run for another term in office, in the coming election in 2024.
The anticipation of President Sall’s potential bid for re-election had sparked bouts of unrest since 2021, resulting in the loss of numerous lives.
His Monday declaration experts said, has ended the widespread speculation that he would seek a third term which according to his critics would have been illegal.
