The Nigerian Federal Government has rejected the European Union’s report on the 2023 general elections, dismissing the conclusions of the EU Electoral Observer Mission as “jaundiced”.
Dele Alake, the Special Adviser to President Bola Tinubu on Special Duties, Communications, and Strategy, emphasized that on February 25, 2023, the presidential election was “clearly and fairly” won by Tinubu, the candidate of All Progressives Congress (APC).
Alake urged the EU and other foreign interests to be objective and allow Nigeria to handle its internal affairs.
