The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) has accused some world credit rating agencies of bias against certain African countries costing them 75 billion US dollars.
The UN agency which works to eradicate poverty and reduce inequalities through sustainable development, says three of the world’s biggest credit rating agencies have been biased against countries including Ghana.
The UNDP adds that the cost of borrowing for African countries is extremely high, thereby creating structural challenges for the continent’s economies.
