The Gambia’s health minister Dr Amdou Lamin Samateh has blamed meningitis and sepsis for the death of 17 children in the country.
The minister informed National Assembly Members that some of the children arrived at health facilities late with severe symptoms and died within 24 hours.
Samateh however ruled out the possibility of any outbreak.
