Ghana’s opposition National Democratic Congress NDC has been called upon by the ruling party, to be honest in its assessments of the country’s economic situation.
The governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) said the call is given its excellent handling of the Ghanaian economy which the NDC has condemned to score political points ahead of the 2024 polls.
The NPP National Chairman, Stephen Ntim in an address on Tuesday consequently urged party members to assist in spreading the party’s goodwill.
Ntim mentioned a few steps taken by President Akufo Addo’s presidency to economically sustain Ghana but blamed the current crippling economic crisis on several factors including the Covid-19 pandemic and the Russia-Ukraine War.
