147 Malian migrants return to Bamako from Niger

The government of Mali has welcomed at least 147 Malian migrants from Niger who were deported by Algeria.

The Chief of Staff of the Ministry of Malians Established Abroad and African Integration received the migrants.

According to Mohamed Lamine Bane, who is responsible for migration at the High Council of Mali, most of these migrants had attempted to cross the Mediterranean from Algeria and were returned by the Algerian authorities to the Niger border.
