Experts have described the recent response from Ghana’s Presidency regarding reports of politically motivated military changes as unnecessary.
Recall the Presidency stated on January 4 dismissing the claims from a group named Anchoring Democracy Advocacy Movement (ADAM-GH).
The group alleged plans to replace the current Chief of Defence Staff with an individual purportedly a close associate of the vice president for the December 7, 2024 elections.
Political and security analysts like Dr. Adam Bonaa, have described the recent response as unnecessary and believe the Presidency’s response to these claims might rather provoke further suspicions rather than assuage the fears.
