The 9th Dakar International Forum on Peace and Security that opened on Monday with several heads of state and government in attendance is ongoing.

Some 400 participants, including decision-makers, military personnel, security researchers and civilians arrived for the two-day event.

At this year’s event, the focus is on sustainable socio-economic development solutions, based on Africa’s potential, to combat insecurity on the continent.
