Borno State Governor Babagana Zulum has pledged to eliminate Boko Haram remnants after an IED blast killed eight people.

The explosion, triggered by insurgents along the Maiduguri–Damboa Road, marks another tragic attack in the conflict-ridden region.

Zulum reiterated his administration’s resolve to restore peace and protect residents from extremist violence.

Security forces have since intensified operations across affected areas to prevent further attacks.
