Young political leaders in Mali have staged a protest against the repeal of the political parties law, warning it threatens the country’s democratic foundation.

During a press conference, they signed a manifesto demanding a return to constitutional rule and the preservation of multiparty democracy.

Tensions flared as military supporters disrupted the event outside the Mali Press House, backed by a heavy security presence.

The move comes amid growing unease over the military-led government’s grip on power.
