Niger has secured a 240 billion CFA ($400 million) investment from the World Bank to boost road connectivity in the south.
The agreement was signed on June 4, 2025, in Niamey by Prime Minister Mahaman Ali Lamine Zeine and World Bank representative Han Fraeters.
The funds will support the Southern Niger Integration and Connectivity Project, aimed at improving infrastructure and regional integration.
This initiative strengthens the long-standing development partnership between Niger and the World Bank.
