Continuing our series on “50-50: Women in Politics,” this week we turn our spotlight on two remarkable women. First, we have Aissata Amadou Bocoum, a member of the National Transition Council, Mali’s legislative body replacing the National Assembly, and the coordinator of the TL citizen association. Additionally, we feature Mamata Tiendrebeogo from Burkina Faso, a former deputy and a key lieutenant of the MPP, the Movement of the People for Progress.
What sets these women apart is their unwavering belief in themselves and the strong support they received from key persons in their families. Despite the numerous challenges they faced, they remained focused and determined
