Liberia’s education system has been rocked by a cheating scandal uncovered by the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) during the ongoing WASSCE exams. The scheme reportedly involves impersonators and possible collusion by school officials.
Dale Gbotoe, WAEC Liberia’s regional head, expressed grave concern, warning that such malpractice undermines the credibility of the exams and jeopardizes the future of students across the country.
Authorities say investigations are ongoing, and appropriate sanctions will be taken to protect the integrity of the national examination system.
