Sankulleh Janko, a reporter and producer at West Africa Democracy Radio (WADR), has been named one of 12 outstanding journalists selected from over 200 entries for the first-ever ECOWAS Excellence in Journalism Award.
Janko’s winning story, which spotlighted governance issues and public accountability, impressed the judges with its depth, balance, and regional relevance. His recognition is a proud moment for WADR and The Gambia, sparking celebration across West Africa and beyond.
