West Africa Democracy Radio (WADR) has launched a week-long training in Dakar focused on investigative and solution-based journalism.
The initiative comes amid shifting political dynamics across West and sub-Saharan Africa, where rising insecurity has, in some cases, led to coups.
Organised in partnership with the National Endowment for Democracy (NED), the programme aims to equip journalists from conflict-affected states with the skills to counter disinformation and report responsibly.
The sessions will feature practical, interactive learning guided by experts. Imoh Edet reports.
