U.S. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth says there is no known intelligence confirming Iran relocated any of its highly enriched uranium ahead of recent U.S. airstrikes on its nuclear facilities. The strikes, carried out early Sunday with over a dozen 30,000-pound bunker-buster bombs, targeted three key sites, aiming to cripple Iran’s nuclear capabilities.

President Donald Trump, who called the mission a success, said any effort to move uranium “would have taken too long.” However, nuclear experts argue otherwise. Satellite images from Maxar Technologies revealed unusual vehicle activity at Fordow, a deeply buried enrichment site, just days before the strikes.

A senior Iranian official reportedly told Reuters that Iran had already transferred most of its 60% enriched uranium to an undisclosed location. This development raises questions about the effectiveness of the airstrikes and the future trajectory of Iran’s nuclear ambitions.
