UNICEF has issued a health alert over a scabies outbreak affecting children in The Gambia.
Confirmed cases were recorded at Daara Madina Suwaneh, a Quranic school in the Central River Region.
The UN agency described the situation as a violation of children’s rights and urged swift government intervention.
Authorities are being called upon to provide medical support and preventive measures to contain the outbreak.
