The United Nations Women’s office has called on Nigeria to take decisive steps toward achieving gender inclusion and equality.
Speaking at the opening of the Gender and Inclusion Summit 2025 in Abuja, officials stressed that empowering women is not only a moral obligation but also an economic imperative.
UN Women says greater participation of women in decision-making and economic activities will accelerate national growth and social development.
The call comes as Nigeria faces increasing pressure to close gender gaps in leadership, governance, and economic opportunity.
