The United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) has raised alarm over a growing global hunger crisis, fueled by persistent food price inflation.

In its latest report released Monday, the FAO urged governments and stakeholders to act swiftly to shield vulnerable communities from deepening food insecurity.

The situation is particularly dire in Africa, where inflation and supply shocks continue to strain access to basic nutrition.

The agency says targeted interventions are needed to stabilize markets and support at-risk populations.
