A 2023 survey conducted   by the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime in Liberia revealed that more than one million people in the country are said to be consuming one or two kinds of drugs and other dangerous substances.

In an effort to address the situation, the United States office on Drug and crimes has outlined the importance of international partners to work with Liberia to fight the drug war.
