Burkina Faso’s transitional president, Captain Ibrahim Traoré, has received the preliminary draft for establishing a parliamentary body within the Alliance of Sahel States (AES).
The document was presented on Friday by the heads of the transitional parliaments of Mali, Burkina Faso, and Niger following a two-day consultation in Ouagadougou.
According to Dr. Ousmane Bougouma, president of Burkina Faso’s Transitional Legislative Assembly, the move reflects the three nations’ commitment to strengthening cooperation under the AES framework.
