Burkina Faso’s transitional parliament has approved the government’s proposal to restore the country’s former national motto, “La Patrie ou la mort, nous vaincrons” (The Fatherland or Death, We Will Overcome), which was used during the revolution led by Captain Thomas Sankara. Additionally, the parliament has approved Burkina Faso’s entry into a confederation or federation.
