President Faure Gnassingbe of Togo has reappointed Victoire Tomegah Dogbé as Prime Minister of his Government.
Her appointment took place yesterday, Thursday, August 1, according to a statement from the Togolese presidency.
Ms. Victoire Dogbé is expected to begin discussions aimed at forming form a new government.
Following her reappointment, she wrote on her X, account expressing gratitude to President Gnassingbe, while promising to work with humility and determination for a peaceful, inclusive, and prosperous Togo.
The former head of Government resigned on May 22 after the overwhelming victory of Faure Gnassingbe’s UNIR party in the legislative and regional elections.
