Togo’s President of the Council of Ministers, Faure Gnassingbé, has begun high-level bilateral discussions with Russian President Vladimir Putin during a working visit to Moscow. The two leaders met on Wednesday inside the Green Hall of the Grand Kremlin Palace, where they held a brief initial conversation ahead of formal talks.
Gnassingbé’s visit underscores Togo’s interest in strengthening cooperation with Russia, particularly in areas of security, trade, and strategic partnerships.
The meeting is expected to pave the way for deeper engagement between the two countries as both leaders assess regional dynamics and opportunities for collaboration.
