In Togo, young people have reaffirmed their commitment to promoting peace and stability through the implementation of the “Youth, Peace, and Security” (YPS) Agenda.
The pledge was made in a resolution adopted at the close of a two-day national conference held in Lomé, which brought together more than fifty youth representatives from all six regions of the country.
Participants highlighted that the discussions helped identify priority challenges, engagement strategies, and opportunities to strengthen youth participation in governance and peacebuilding efforts.
The event was organized by WANEP-Togo in collaboration with the International Organization of the Francophonie (OIF), the African Union, and the Togolese government.
