Togo’s President Faure Gnassingbé has reaffirmed his country’s commitment to deepening ties with the Confederation of Sahel States (AES).
Speaking on Sunday during diplomatic talks with a delegation from the three AES member countries, President Gnassingbé emphasized the importance of collaboration on security and regional integration.
The discussions highlighted shared challenges across West Africa, including cross-border threats and the need for coordinated development efforts.
Officials say the meeting reflects Togo’s growing diplomatic engagement and its desire to play a more active role in stabilizing the Sahel region.
