In Togo, the opposition party National Alliance for Change (ANC) has called for a reopening of the investigation into the assassination of Sylvanus Olympio, the country’s first president.
The call was made during a press conference on Tuesday, marking the 63rd anniversary of Olympio’s killing on January 13, 1963.
The ANC is demanding a fresh inquiry to clarify the circumstances and hold those responsible accountable.
