Togo has opened the 2025 edition of National Municipalities Day in the capital, Lomé.

The two-day event is organized by the Federation of Municipalities of Togo in collaboration with its development partners.

This year’s gathering brings together key actors in local governance to discuss the theme:
“Decentralization and resource mobilization for local authorities in Togo: issues, challenges, and strategies.”

The event aims to strengthen collaboration, improve local governance systems, and explore practical solutions for financing and empowering municipal administrations across the country.
