Togo has officially launched the Air Quality Project (PQAT) to monitor and improve the air residents breathe.
The initiative is part of the government’s wider environmental strategy and is designed to strengthen air pollution control and public health safeguards. With air pollution posing serious health risks in urban centers, the project will use real-time data to assess air quality and guide responsive action.
Authorities say the PQAT will also help raise awareness among the population about the impact of air pollution and encourage environmentally responsible behavior.
