A regional conference of employers’ organizations has concluded in Lomé, Togo, with participants exploring ways to strengthen professional migration systems across West Africa.
The meeting brought together members of the Federation of West African Employers’ Organizations (FOPAO) and other stakeholders to address challenges and opportunities linked to labor mobility in the region.
Organized by the ECOWAS Commission, the forum emphasized the importance of building frameworks that promote fair and efficient migration for skilled workers.
Discussions also focused on ensuring that migrants have access to decent and sustainable jobs both in their home countries and in their destinations.
