In Togo, plastic pollution has evolved beyond an environmental challenge to become a serious public health concern affecting communities across the country.
Plastics are now found throughout ecosystems and within the human body, reaching cells and even DNA, exposing populations to risks that remain largely unknown.
To raise awareness and promote collective action, the International Francophone Zero Plastic Coalition, through its member organisations in Togo, organised a screening and discussion of the documentary Homo Plasticus over the weekend in Lomé.
