In Togo, the Association of Health Service Managers and Administrators (AGASSTO) has launched a nationwide campaign aimed at strengthening the healthcare system.
The initiative, supported by the Ministry of Health and Public Hygiene, follows concerns over persistent overcrowding in referral hospitals, where patients often line up in congested corridors.
AGASSTO President Abidé Awaté described the situation as deeply troubling and stressed the urgent need for reforms.
The Association says the campaign will improve public understanding of the healthcare system while enhancing efficiency, quality, and accessibility of care for all Togolese citizens.
