In Togo, meteorological forecasts warn that the southern part of the country could experience a particularly heavy rainy season this year.
The outlook was presented during a regional forum on agro-hydro-climatic forecasts for countries along the Gulf of Guinea.
Experts predict above-average rainfall in southern Togo between March and July 2026.
Authorities say the forecasts are intended to help communities and sectors such as agriculture better prepare for the expected weather conditions.
