With municipal elections set for July 17, Togo’s government has launched a nationwide sensitization campaign to ensure a peaceful and orderly process.
Minister of Territorial Administration, Hodabalo Awaté, began the outreach in the northern Savannah region on June 16. His mission is to engage traditional chiefs across the country to play a vital role in fostering community dialogue and managing electoral tensions.
The initiative comes amid heightened political sensitivity and seeks to build trust in the electoral process by encouraging collaboration between local leaders and electoral authorities.
