President Bola Tinubu has bestowed Nigeria’s prestigious Officer of the Order of the Niger (OON) award on the Super Falcons for their record-breaking 10th Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) victory in Morocco.

During a ceremony at the Presidential Villa, Tinubu also announced a $100,000 cash reward (in naira equivalent) and a house for each of the 24 players, while members of the technical team will each receive $50,000.

The recognition marks a historic celebration of the team’s outstanding achievement in African women’s football.
