In Côte d’Ivoire, opposition leader Tidjane Thiam has officially renounced his French citizenship as he prepares to run for president.
Thiam stated that the move aligns with Article 55 of the Ivorian Constitution, which requires presidential candidates to hold only Ivorian nationality.
He reaffirmed his commitment to driving change and improving citizens’ lives, as his party, the PDCI, prepares to confirm its candidate for the 2025 election.
