Three Nigerien nationals, including the deputy general manager of Wapco Niger, have been sentenced to 18 months in prison.
The sentence, delivered on Monday evening, was delivered by CRIET, the French Court for the Repression of Economic Offences and Terrorism, which reclassified the charges as “usurpation of title and use of falsified computer data.”
The three Nigerians were arrested in Benin on the oil pipeline platform at Sèmè Podji a few days ago.
