The Speaker of the National Assembly of The Gambia, Fabakary Tombong Jatta, is in Malawi for a six-day working visit aimed at deepening parliamentary cooperation between the two countries.
The Gambian delegation, made up of members of the Assembly Business Committee and parliamentary staff, arrived in Lilongwe on Sunday ahead of a series of official engagements.
The visit focuses on strengthening collaboration around committee systems, procedural reforms, and enhancing parliamentary oversight of public resources.
The engagements are expected to foster knowledge exchange and reinforce democratic principles through improved legislative practice and institutional partnerships.
