Banjul is currently hosting a regional workshop focused on cross-border financial statistics, drawing participants from across West Africa.
The training, which opened on Monday, brings together financial analysts, economists, policymakers, and technical experts from ECOWAS member states, including The Gambia.
Organizers say the initiative aims to strengthen capacity for compiling cross-border position statistics — essential for monitoring each country’s financial linkages with the global economy.
The workshop also underscores ECOWAS’s broader goal of promoting transparency and data-driven economic cooperation across the region.
