Public universities across Ghana are bracing for disruptions as the Tertiary Education Workers Union (TEWU) begins an indefinite strike effective July 3.
The union says the decision follows the expiration of a seven-day ultimatum and accuses authorities of ignoring democratic principles and sidelining the rights of the majority union.
TEWU insists the strike is necessary to protect fairness, transparency, and accountability in the management of tertiary institutions.
With lectures and administrative services expected to be affected, stakeholders are urging swift dialogue to resolve the impasse.
