President John Mahama has referred three petitions seeking the removal of Chief Justice Gertrude Sackey Torkornoo to the Council of State, setting in motion a constitutional process that could impact Ghana’s judiciary.

Meanwhile, the matter has also reached the Supreme Court, where a case has been filed challenging the procedure.
