Senegal’s Prime Minister, Ousmane Sonko, has called for renewed commitment to the Great Green Wall initiative to combat climate change.
Speaking at the 4th extraordinary session of the Council of Ministers of the Pan-African Agency, he reaffirmed Senegal’s dedication to environmental resilience.
Sonko emphasized the need to reinvigorate the initiative to address growing ecological challenges across Africa. Senegal will focus on ecosystem restoration, resilient agriculture, and natural resource preservation under its National Transformation Agenda 2050.
