Senegalese Prime Minister Ousmane Sonko on Tuesday visited Sierra Leone as part of his ongoing tour of West African nations, holding talks with President Julius Maada Bio in Freetown.
The two leaders met at the State House shortly after Sonko’s departure from Guinea, where he wrapped up a 48-hour working visit.
Joined by senior officials from both governments, Sonko and President Bio emphasized the need for stronger regional collaboration — particularly in the areas of trade, peace, and security.
The visit is seen as part of a renewed push to bolster West African unity amid growing cross-border challenges.
