Sierra Leone’s President Julius Maada Bio has arrived in Monrovia to participate in Liberia’s 68th Armed Forces Day celebrations, set for February 11.
Established in 1957, the national holiday commemorates the country’s soldiers, who have protected Liberia’s sovereignty and freedom since 1909.
As this year’s keynote speaker, President Bio will address the theme “Sustaining Peace and Security through Stakeholders’ Engagement: The Role of the Armed Forces of Liberia.”
