UNICEF Sierra Leone has released a new report calling for the integration of climate change education into the national school curriculum.
The report highlights the views of Sierra Leonean youth on critical issues such as adolescence pregnancy, child marriage, gender-based violence, access to information, and climate change.
The report also delves into the challenges faced by adolescents and offers recommendations to parents, educators, community and religious leaders, government officials, and other stakeholders. UNICEF emphasizes the urgent need to raise awareness about climate change among school children and advocates for incorporating climate change considerations into all new construction projects, especially in schools and health centers.
